Aaron is an economist that is very interested in measuring the impacts of resilience investments and how we think about the valuation of the resilience dividend. Much of my recent work has focused on the development of the Resilience Dividend Valuation Model and natural capital valuation. After 10 years in academia, I wanted to have more interaction with stakeholders and decisionmakers in order to have a greater impact through my work. Through better understanding of the inter-dependencies and benefits of different projects and programs, we can move to a more sustainable and resilient path.
Previous to joining RAND, Aaron was a professor in the School of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Iowa and in the Department of Economics at the University of Wyoming. His previous research interests include water demand management, invasive species management, and ecosystem service valuation.
